The Nittnaus family have been making wine in the village of Gols in Burgenland for almost a hundred years. Martin Nittnaus has been involved in the running of the family estate for many years. In 2014 he decided to bottle two wines under his own label and the 2015 vintage is the first wine he released internationally.
Martin vinifies Blaufränkisch and a skin fermented Grüner Veltliner. His wines are highly individual interpretations of the terroir and are born out of a deep commitment to making honest and distinctive wines. Martin works very naturally in the cellar and in the vineyards, trying to reduce his intervention as much as possible and adding absolute minimum quantities of sulphur to the wine before bottling.
